Rig AD-1 is a DRECO “Space-Saver” drilling & workover rig that was purchased in 2007 and was mobilized to Myanmar Shipyards.
The rig was completely overhauled in 2007 and received Lloyds’ certification.
The Rig was mobilized to Mann Oil Field in Central Myanmar on 26 July 2007 and successfully drilled three (3) wells, which were drilled up to 6,200 ft in the Central Myanmar Basin.
and demobilized to Tharkayta Offshore supply base on 12 Jan 2008.
and upgraded in 2009 with the addition of a new BOP, Mud Pumps, power Generators with SCR system, NOV TDS 10SA Top drive and new shakers. (12 HR Load Test for Gensets-SCR-Mud Pumps)
The rig was mobilized for Interra Resources to drill in Mae Sot, Tak, Thailand on 25 October 2009. Installed NOV TDS 10SA Top drive before spud. The MS-1 well was spudded on 14 November 2009 and completed in December 2009. AD-1 was further contracted to drill two (2) wells for Carnarvon Petroleum (Thailand) Ltd., in March 2011.
After stacking at a storage yard, Phichit in Thailand, the rig was demobilized back to Asia Drilling Myanmar Base Camp, Central of Myanmar in 2016.
