MPRL E&P Pte Ltd contracted Rig AD-2 to drill one deep well and rig was modilized to Mann Oil Field, Central Myanmar, on 1st August 2011.
The rig is currently stacked on the MDE-1 well site, location in Central Myanmar.
AD-2 Rig Package has completely arrived to Well Site Location in Mann Field ( 5 May 2011 )
The Rig AD-2 left Shanghai Port and unloaded all it's equipment at MITT port, Yangon on 17th April 2011. It than mobilized to Central Myanmar to its drilling location in Mann Field, near a small town called Minbu. The mobilization to well site was a hazardous one with the ADL team facing thunderous rain and slippery road conditions. In spite of all the hazards caused by the weather, the Rig AD-2 made it safely to its target location without any incidents. The rig is expected to spud-in tentatively on 12th July 2011.
Completed Commissioning and Survey by Lloyd's ( 04 February 2011 )
Already installed equipment such as Drawworks, Top Drive & Roughneck by NOV and completed survey by Lloyd's. Preparation & packing for shipment to Yangon is scheduled tentatively for 01 March 2011.
It has been five months since the purchase of AD-2 and construction of the rig is still in progress but is close to reaching completion. By the end of February 2011, Rig AD-2 will be tested and certified by third party inspector ( Lloyd’s Register ) and will be shipped to Yangon port. It will then be mobilized to Mann Oil Field ( Myanmar ) to drill two deep wells for MPRL E&P. The drilling campaign for MPRL E&P is expected to begin June 2011.
